LateralTraumaPosition.Org is a member of the FOAMed (Free, Open Access Medical Education) and FOAMems communities. We hope others will take the information from this project and participate in getting the message out to our prehospital colleagues.
LateralTraumaPosition.Org is currently “driven” by Clay Odell. Clay has been a paramedic since 1985. He is currently the Executive Director of a rural ambulance service on the Vermont / New Hampshire border.
The staff of Upper Valley Ambulance, based in Fairlee Vermont, graciously participated in tweaking the technique that was developed by Dr. Per Kristian Hyldmo, discussed in the literature and online, and demonstrated by the Norwegian EMS system in the video included on this website. They also agreed to star in the videos demonstrating the techniques.
